The standard fayre this morn-papers, but nae school-today wiz the last official day so I guess there'll have been a guid few others aff tae.
The big news wiz that we've got a new telly-yoh! That must have been part o Maw 'n John's mission in town yesterday. It's guid news as oor box has been temperamental a few times recently. The bloke arrived tae fit a' up for us. Excellent-that's us a' sorted oot for Christmas telly!
The other news wiz that Dad swung by tae see us a'-it wiz odd seeing him again. I don't have that father-son relationship wie him-his presence is always unsettling and I'm happier when he's not here at Oxgangs-whit can I say-it's a' pretty sad, but true-whit can you do?
After he left I wrote a letter tae ma pen-friend in New York, Peggy Burbank-I'm not quite what brought that notion oan.
In the evening, for the first time in a while I had some chips then watched 'Sportsnight wie Coleman'-Chelsea beat Spurs 3-2 in the first leg o' the League Cup semi-final-Peter Osgood scored the winner.
